The 2024 Southwest Healthcare Research Symposium
Reflecting on an Inspiring Day of Healthcare Innovation!
The 3rd Annual Southwest Healthcare Research Symposium was a day of discovery and collaboration, bringing together a diverse community of healthcare professionals and students dedicated to shaping the future of medicine. Kicking off with opening remarks from Southwest Healthcare Group VP, Darlene Wetton, the symposium soared to new heights with a captivating keynote address by Dr. Stephen Hayden, delving into the intricacies of writing and publishing a research paper.
Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a plethora of engaging oral and poster presentations, spanning a diverse spectrum of topics including research breakthroughs, quality enhancement initiatives, and intriguing clinical cases. From point-of-care ultrasound to innovative protocols for accurate coronary artery disease diagnosis, each presentation illuminated new pathways in healthcare innovation.
As the symposium drew to a close, Dr. Michael Macias and Dr. Andrew Ho's closing remarks honored the brilliance and dedication of all participants, as well as the meticulous planning of the organizing committee and the unwavering support of our GME staff. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a resounding success!
